The team at Urban Reform create a timetable of activities each year to build a thriving community 

Each activity is created by the UR Well-being team based on our clients feedback, we use this to build new friendships and to offer opportunities for clients to step out of their comfort zone, to create a resilient mindset.

Every month we will be nominating the member of month based on attitude to training and supporting others. We will also be celebrating your small win by showcasing your personal bests through our very creative style of ringing the UR Bell.

 

Below is a list of our UR activities throughout the year:

 

JANUARY

FREE TRIAL SESSIONS FOR NEW MEMBERS

In January it’s open to anyone and everyone, we want you to see what we are all about and you can do this by attending our sessions for absolutely free, all we ask for in return is some feedback on how we can improve our service to achieve our aims on providing a world class experience.

 

 

febRUary

THE 4 WEEK URBAN FITNESS CHALLENGE

This is where we challenge you to challenge yourself, you will be given a fitness task card to complete a number of challenges, all of which are rated on difficulty to win points. The person with the most points at the end of the month wins a bundle of our amazing personalised prizes.

 

MARCH-MAY

TEAM BUILDING AND CHALLANGES

We will be offering a whole host of in house activities from our 8 week challenges to push our clients to another level whilst supporting external campaigns such as the Mental Health day in May too, by bringing everyone together for a free coffee and walk around the local park.

During the month of March we have our annual team building events where we get our members and staff to step out of their comfort zone and take on something new and exciting,

such activities include:

-Kayake

-Wall climbing

-Paint balling

Lake Scramblimg

-Jump Nation

 

JUNE

THE UR | GAMES

The Urban Reform team have created a fitness event like no other, which is a pairs competition which requires you to dig deep to get as many reps out for each round you compete in. The Games brings together participants from all over Manchester to compete to be the fittest urban athlete in Manchester.

Every participant completes the same set of 8 exercises and has a 3 minute time limit for each exercise, the team with the most reps at the end of the day is the winner.

JUNE-AUGUST

OUTDOOR URBAN EXCURSIONS

During the summer months we set out to take on the biggest mountains in the UK. This a great day out had by all and we generally finish with pub food and a pint, its definitely all about the balance.

We also take on 10k competitions, Hyrox events and Total warrior challenges for those who want to really push themselves. If this is something you would be interested in please contact a member of the team to put your name down on our next walk or challenge.

CELEBRATE WITH UR FOR OUR SUMMER BBQ

In September we celebrate our anniversary with a summer BBQ and we will give you a chance to trial some of our other programs we offer within our corperate sessions too. We have workshops on how to lift, a yoga relax session and strong man and strong woman mini comps to get those competitive juices flowing. After each summer BBQ we generally finish with a shindig at Freight Island or we head to a few bars in Manchester.
